Comedy starring Kevin Costner as Bud Johnson, an average American guy living in the small, nowhere town of Texico, New Mexico, whose life ambles along amiably without much focus apart from his relationship with his precocious twelve-year-old daughter Molly (Madeline Carroll). In a moment of mischief, Molly sparks a chain of events that cause the outcome of the presidential election to come down to just one vote: her father's. In no time an army of politicians has invaded Texico with a single objective in mind: to get Bud's vote and win the election.
