Walter Hill directs this 1970s crime thriller in which Ryan O'Neal stars as The Driver, an ice-cool getaway ace whose skills are highly sought after by the criminals of Los Angeles. Bruce Dern stars as the detective who becomes obsessed with catching him. The more tantalising clues the driver leaves at his crime scenes, the more the detective becomes a man possessed with catching his prey. Isabelle Adjani also stars.
